AVZMT About Us


The Academy of Veterinary Zoological Medicine Technicians [AVZMT] is a
Fully Recognized specialty with the National Association of Veterinary
Technicians in America [NAVTA]. Veterinary technicians who successfully meet the
credential requirements and pass the AVZMT examination are designated as
Veterinary Technician Specialists - Zoo [VTS (Zoo)].
Recognized in 2009, AVZMT was created for vet techs working in one of the smallest
divisions of veterinary medicine, zoological. AVZMT is a small, exclusive family of
20 specialists - slowly, yet steadily growing each year.

AVZMT is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
